Christmas & Premio Dardos

We've just returned from 6 wonderful weeks in Portugal and Spain. We spent time in and around Lisbon, Madrid, Bilbao, Barcelona, Granada, Malaga, Ronda, Jerez, Seville and Cordoba. What a fantastic part of the world - so full of history and culture. I'm already missing the tapas!

On my return I was surprised and honored to discover that two of my favourite bloggers had nominated Dream Painters for a Premio Dardos award!

This is a virtual award sent as a 'gift' from one blogger to another as "recognition for the creativity, effort and dedication" we each put  into our blog. Of course we don't create our blogs for recognition, but it is a 'pat on the back', and it means a lot, coming from two such excellent art teachers whose work I have admired and followed since I discovered the world of art teacher blogs.

To accept the award, you simply
1.) Link back to the person who nominated you
2.) Display the award icon and
3.) Nominate others whose blogs you admire for these qualities.

So with sincere thanks Miren from Mis Tecnicas Plasticas and Espe from Plastiquem.

I found it so difficult to come up with blogs to nominate, because there are SO MANY great, creative people out there! I have too many 'favorites' - How do you choose? In the end I went with those blogs I keep going back to .....

(in blog alphabetical order):
Mollie at Art with Ms K - creative ideas and a great attitude!
Joe at Art with Mr Hall - clean and minimalist blog with fresh ideas.
Gretchen at Gretchen's Art Blog - really effective projects with a creative spin
Rina at K6 Art - great variety of ideas with excellent instructions.
Mary at MaryMaking - every project is gold ... I think I have 'pinned' nearly all her ideas!
Mrs Hahn at Mini Matisse - great ideas every time :)
Laura at Painted Paper - love her use of painted paper in all sorts of creative projects.
Paper Clip Spaceship - mnemonic hooks for visual learners. Excellent teaching/learning tools.
Julie at Art Julz - great ideas linking reading and writing with art.
Pat at Sharpiewoman - creative projects and a lot of fun!
Jan at Snippety Gibbet - so creative, and I love her paper cut art.  Jan also manages 3 other blogs Art Sub Lessons, Art Room Videos and Bulletin Boards to Remember.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!
